Key West, Florida is known for a lot of things – Mallory Square, Southernmost Point, Duval St., Ernest Hemingway and other touristy draws. Most notably not on that list is its beaches and there’s a reason. They typically don’t have the soft sand associated with islands. Let’s just say this – you aren’t digging to China on most of its beaches unless you plan on losing your fingers along the way....
