Riptides Sports Bar, a beach bar located at the Holiday Inn Pensacola Beach Resort, was destroyed by a fire that engulfed it this past Friday. The fire started in the thatch roof and quickly spread to the rest of the bar. The Pensacola News Journal reports that even though there were people in the beach bar at the time, no one was injured.
