Beach Thursday Pic of the Week – Phuket, Thailand

Tagged: , ,

This week’s beach pic of the week is from one of our most featured countries in Southeast Asia – Thailand. Famous for its popular beaches and with probably as many beach bars per capita as any other country in the world (no scientific proof to back that up but I’ll research it in person if someone’s willing to fund it), Thailand stands out among many of our North American-based followers as a distant not-to-be-visited-any-time-soon...

Beach Bar Pic of the Week – Roy’s Bayside Grill, Anguilla

Tagged: , , , , , , ,

One restaurant/beach bar that’s always a must visit for me on Anguilla is Roy’s Bayside Grill. Located at the southern end of the beach on Road Bay in Sandy Ground, Roy’s has become a breakfast mainstay for us. When it comes to illustrating just how close these planes get to the beach, however, it’s hard to top this point of view. To say you get up and close and...

Beach Bar Pic of the Week – Darkwood Beach Bar, Antigua

Tagged: , , ,

I’ve spent two weeklong vacations in Antigua, exploring its beach bars spread out over 365 different beaches. For some reason, I never made it to Darkwood Beach and its eponymously named Darkwood Beach Bar. Having stayed just north of it on Jolly Beach and just south of it on Turner’s Beach, I can’t even offer up a good excuse for not taking a minute or two to stop by. Luckily for the rest of us, beach bar bum Polly Terry made it a...
