Beach Bar of the Week – Hole in the Wall Bar, Roatan, Honduras

Tagged: , , , ,

The Hole in the Wall bar is located on the east end of the island of Roatan in Honduras. Only accessible by boat (one Google reviewer claims you can access it by land but the directions are sketchy), the bar is owned by Ed, an expat originally from Connecticut. Part of a local mangrove tour, the bar was a lunch stop for beach bar bum Eric V who supplied the below photos.

Popular among tourists and locals, the Hole in the Wall bar is known for its delicious food and drinks, with a menu that features a variety of local and international favorites. Whether you’re in the mood for a cold beer, a tropical cocktail, or a tasty snack, the bar has something for everyone.

One of the most unique things about the Hole in the Wall bar is its eclectic decor. The walls are covered in colorful murals and graffiti art, giving the space a funky and vibrant feel. The bar also features a collection of quirky and unusual objects, including vintage signs, shirts stapled to the ceiling, old photographs, an old cannon and even a pet monkey.

Overall, the Hole in the Wall bar is a must-visit destination for anyone looking to experience the unique charm and character of Jonesville, Honduras. With its delicious food, great drinks, live music, and friendly atmosphere, it’s a true gem in the heart of this vibrant and colorful community.
