Root Beach Bar might be located in one of the most picturesque settings you will find anywhere in the world. Found on the peninsula that juts into Marigot Bay in St. Lucia, Roots Beach Bar sits on a what amounts to be an oversized sand bar. With swaying palms keeping watch overhead, towering hills sloping down to the clear water of Marigot and boats bobbing in the distance, it’s a scene straight from central casting. Indeed, Marigot Bay has been featured in Hollywood movies including Pirates of the Caribbean, Blue Lagoon and the Dr. Doolittle movies. As you can see from the images, it’s no wonder Marigot Bay has played a key supporting role. If setting the scene for a paradise escape was a category, Marigot Bay would have an Oscar or two … and Roots Beach Bar is where you can sit and take it all in.
