10Best, a travel division of USA Today, recently announced the winner of it best beach bars in the Caribbean contest. In what may come as a surprise to no one, the British Virgin Islands’ Soggy Dollar Bar came out on top. The longtime stalwart and tourist destination on Jost Van Dyke’s White Bay, the Soggy Dollar is always found on list of best Caribbean beach bars and often found on lists attempting to tackle the best beach bars in the world.

The second and third spots fell to two of my favorites on the island of Anguilla. Elvis’ Beach Bar, located in Sandy Ground on Road Bay, checked in at the runner-up position in number two. Elvis’ was then followed up in the third spot by the Sunshine Shack, a longtime favorite of mine on Rendezvous Bay. The fact that its neighbor down the beach, the Dune Preserve, didn’t make the top 1- is a testament to the oft overlooked beach bar scene in Anguilla.

Find out how your favorite beachfront watering hole fared in the latest contest to name the ten best beach bars in the Caribbean.

What do you think of the final results? Did your favorite make the list? Sound off in the comments and we’ll have a virtual rum punch as we debate it!
