North Carolina’s Outer Banks, Here We Come!

Tagged: , , , ,

In what has been a trip that has been too long in the making, I’m excited to announce that we’ll be headed to the Outer Banks in North Carolina this October for the first time! We’ll be staying at a beachfront house in Nags Head so we’re excited for the opportunity to spend a week on one of the most beautiful stretches of beach in the country.

While the beach bar scene will undoubtedly be different than what we typically find in the Caribbean and even the Florida Keys, I’m looking forward to check out some of the pier bars, especially Captain Andy’s at the Nags Head Fishing Pier, which I believe is within walking distance of the place we are staying at.

Luckily, our friends and family have been staying at this location for a few years now so they have been able to set the groundwork for my upcoming “research.” However, if you have any recommendations for bars or places to visit, let me know in the comments. I know the number of actual beach bars is limited but any bars that offer the same vibe would be great. Also, if there are any waterfront bars on the Intracoastal, any information on them would be appreciated.

As always, you’ll be able to follow along on this blog and its associated social media sites by searching for the hashtag “#bbbobx.” I’ll be utilizing it on all of my posts and updates so I hope you’ll come along for a virtual escape.

I’ll post more updates as I can but for now, it’s time to start planning my “research!”
