I’ve written about Uncle Ernie’s Beach Bar, located on Shoal Bay East in Anguilla, on the blog before. After Hurricane Irma came through in 2017, there was some question as to whether or not this longtime Anguilla beach bar would reopen. I had heard rumblings online about this or that and finally received confirmation that it was indeed going to reopen.
It’s no longer the bright shade of green that used to make it stand out against the white sand of Shoal Bay. Rather, it’s now coated in white, blending in with its surroundings. I always liked the previous green – it gave it more of a fun feel. The white is nice, though, and lends a more upscale atmosphere to the beach bar.
