It’s only 22 seconds long but for those of you itching for an update on the US Virgin Islands’ Beach Bar on Cruz Bay in St. John, it’s a welcome sight. Still not fully operational or back to its normal hours, the beach bar’s customers don’t seem to mind, soaking up whatever time they can. The beachfront structure, seemingly built to be temporary, appears to be serving its purpose, if one can judge based on the few seconds we see of it. It blocks the view from the main structure more than I thought it would so my guess is the “temporary” title that has been applied to it will stick and it will be a memory once the bar is fully back in business.
It’s been a long road to recovery for the islands so it’s nice to see businesses like the Beach Bar coming back, even if the path is a slow but sure one. And is it just me or does a Bob Marley song sound even sweeter knowing the road this business has taken so far?
Have you been to the Beach Bar since it reopened? If so, let us know in the comments!
