You’ll have to look long and hard to find a more colorful beach bar that Barefoot Beach Bar (also known as the Barefoot Bar). Located in Placencia, Belize, the colorful beach bar moved to its new beachfront location in the summer of 2013. It has found a welcoming home in its new locale, its colorful hues right at home on the beach.
I’ve written about Barefoot Beach Bar before, its rainbow of colors calling out to me like the proverbial moth to the flame, except with a somewhat more joyful outcome. Now located next to the Tipsy Tuna, the tandem makes a formidable partnership in the beach bar world and in all public aspects, it seems to be working. In the often cutthroat business of vying for sandy dollars, it’s refreshing to see these two getting along in a hopefully mutually beneficial arrangement.
