30 Seconds at SALT Plage in St. Kitts

On an island such as St. Kitts that is full of beach bars, it’s hard to stand out from the pack. SALT Plage, though, figured it out. Located on the southeast peninsula of the Caribbean island, the beach bar has managed to set itself apart by offering an expanded deck over the water with seating, a decidedly more contemporary nautical look while retaining an overall rustic feel. While the atmosphere is more upscale than others, the way the beach bar melds into its natural surroundings offers a relaxed vibe.

Part of the new development of Christophe Harbour, it’s obvious who the beach bar was meant to appeal to. That shouldn’t keep you away from this splendid beach bar, though, even if you don’t reside in one of the luxurious villas or just stepped off one of the many yachts nestled in the area. As you can see by this video from Caribbean Journal, it’s a beach bar worth visiting on an island full of them.

About SALT Plage
“The island’s finest craft cocktails and delightful Caribbean menu are just part of what makes SALT Plage one of the top beach bars in the Caribbean. Guests are enticed to relax and recharge on hammocks suspended over the water or daybeds covered by sailcloth. Boasting a striking open-air design and contemporary, nautical-inspired furnishings, SALT Plage brings barefoot sophistication to the shore of Whitehouse Bay.

Arriving by land, SALT Plage is located just 15 minutes from downtown Basseterre, and just steps from The Marina at Christophe Harbour. Or arrive by sea via our tender dock available to any patron. Either way, make sure to get here in time to order a SALT Plage Jumbie and watch another spectacular St. Kitts sunset.”
