British Virgin Islands’ Willy T Forced To Move Again

Tagged: , , , ,

The Willy T, a boat-turned-bar located in the British Virgin Islands, has been notified that it must move from its current location in Great Harbour, Peter Island. After moving from its longtime original spot from the Bight, Norman Island after its latest incarnation post-Irma, the news is a shock, to say the least, to the owners of the Willy T and its longtime customers.

The Willy T pre-Irma.

According to BVI News, the Willy T’s latest relocation is the result of a letter being received from the BVI’s Department of Trade. The notice gave the owners three months to relocate.

It’s sad to see the effects of Hurricane Irma still lingering with the latest impact brought about by none other than humans themselves. It’s unfortunate to see the Willy T being forced into this position just more than a year after the hurricanes and while I’m sure the Department of Trade has a good reason for doing so, their timing couldn’t have been worse.
