Foxy Callwood, a popular beach bar/business owner and personality on the island of Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands, will be making a couple appearances this weekend in the New England region, according to an announcement on the Facebook page for Foxy’s Tamarind Bar. The self proclaimed “Emperor of Tourism” for the BVI and subject of Kenny Chesney song lyrics, Foxy is set to appear in Boston this Friday, August 24th and in Rhode Island two days later on the 26th.
The appearance on the 24th in Boston/Foxboro will be at Bar Louie in the Gillette Stadium complex. The event will be from 5-7 pm, prior the that night’s Kenny Chesney show. Two day later, Foxy will be in familiar haunts as he’ll make an appearance at a beach bar. That day, he’ll be at Ocean Mist beach bar in Matunuck, Rhode Island from 1-3 pm. Outside of making appearances, it’s unclear what the trip is about. Even if it’s just to hang out with Foxy (who just turned 80, by the way), though, it would be worth it.

Here’s to Foxy in the States and many more years of making appearances!
