Perusing the internet in a seemingly endless search for do-it-yourself beach bar inspirations for my backyard has become an obsession of mine. Trying to sort through the myriad options and finding suitable solutions starts to become a jumbled mess. That’s why I was ecstatic to find this backyard beach bar.

Having a pool myself to work around, it was nice to find inspiration in Jack Buckner’s backyard beach bar sitting poolside. Located about two hours from the beach, Jack decided to bring the beach to his backyard and his backyard beach bar was born!

The bar was inspired by his trips to the Virgin Islands and the associated beach bar hopping that comes with any trip to that region. One of his favorite beach bars is Iggies Beach Bar, located at Bolongo Bay Beach Resort on St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. Named “Fish and Sips Cantina at Iggies North,” Jack’s beach bar is used every weekend by friends and family.
