If you’ve never been to Aruba and had an opportunity to shuffle through the unbelievably soft white sand of its beaches, I have a word for you – go! We had the good luck of spending a week in Aruba where our days consisted of drinking coffee as we waited for the beach bar to open and checking out the new daily drink special. We would then move onto claiming our spot on the beach, watching the waves and the sunset and begrudgingly changing out of our swimsuits because they were frowned upon at dinner. The week was spent doing a lot of nothing and it was just what the doctor ordered at the time.
While the beach bar scene is lacking due mostly to the predominance of resorts on its beaches, I recently read that the less developed east coast of the island is developing quite the beach scene. It’s worked out for the island of Cozumel so hopefully, Aruba can pull off the concept as well.

Vote for your favorite by “liking” the photo and each week, we’ll post the winning image and a high resolution image of it for your viewing and downloading pleasure … but it will only be available for one week.
Do you have a picture of a beach you’d like to have featured? If so, send me an email at info (at) beachbarbums (dot) com and I’ll see what we can do.
