Anguilla’s Blanchards Announces Reopening Date

Blanchards, a popular restaurant located on Meads Bay in Anguilla, and its sister property located on the same site, Blanchards Beach Shack, announced on their website that they were reopening November 5th, 2018. Opened by Bob and Melinda Blanchard, authors of one of my favorite books (and part of the reason I fell in love with Anguilla in the first place), the restaurants had been closed since Hurricane Irma struck the island.

Following is the announcement as it appears on their website:

“RE-OPENING NOV.5, 2018

Greetings from all of us at Blanchards!

Thanks to Irma, we needed to replace all our roofs and quite a bit of refrigeration, flooring, furniture and equipment. Trying to make the most out of a difficult situation, we decided to use this opportunity (to) make some exciting improvements to both Blanchards and the Beach Shack. With that in mind, we will be opening both restaurants on Monday November 5th. We look forward to welcoming you back and showing all of our additions and changes!!!”

About Blanchards
“Blanchards has been hailed as one of the best restaurants in the Caribbean and is located on one of the most pristine beaches on Anguilla. Our Beach Shack, located next door, offers a casual alternative: picnic tables on the beach, toes in the sand, great prices and lots of fun! We use local ingredients whenever possible and take great care to provide a memorable dining experience at both restaurants.”
