Beach Thursday Pic of the Week – Shipwreck Beach, Zakynthos Island, Greece

Tagged: , , ,

I’m not sure how the ship on the aptly named Shipwreck Beach on Zakynthos Island in Greece ended up abandoned there but the impact on its appeal is undeniable. The rusted remains of the boat, lying amid the white sand beach and just yards away from the clear blue water that transported it to its final resting place, adds to the unique pull of this location. The seclusion of the beach, due to it being surrounded by towering cliffs, only adds to its mystique.
