The self-described “World Famous” Square Grouper Tiki Bar, located on the Jupiter Inlet of the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter, Florida (a second Square Grouper opened in Ft. Pierce in 2017), is a popular waterfront watering hole known for its live musical acts and stunning 180 degree views of the river. Including an incomparable view of the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, the beach/tiki bar (depending on water levels, there actually is a beach, albeit a small one) is a sand-covered oasis offering plenty of palm trees to keep revelers shaded from the oppressive Florida sun. Grab a spot on the wall, if you can, and watch the boats slowly cruise by. Get there early, though. This place fills up fast on the weekends.
The tiki bar is also home to Castaways Marina so boats cruising up and down the Loxahatchee have a convenient spot on the water to stop and get refreshed. For those of you who can’t resist merchandise, the Square Grouper has plenty of apparel to choose from with t-shirts, hoodies, hats and tank tops all available.
Plenty of beer choices are on the menu along with their signature cocktails and frozen drinks. The food menu is typical bar fare with choices ranging from wings and nachos to burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches.

About The Square Grouper Tiki Bar
“Since its “official” opening on Super Bowl Sunday, January 26, 2003, The Square Grouper Tiki Bar in Jupiter has grown to become one of the most popular watering holes in the United States. It is the home of several music videos, including Alan Jackson’s hit “It’s Five O’clock Somewhere” with Jimmy Buffett. A little hidden gem nestled among the palm trees at the end of Love Street, with beautiful water views of the Jupiter Inlet and its famous lighthouse, this local landmark boasts the 19-slip Castaways Marina and the most stunning scenery in the area.
The Square Grouper Tiki Bar in South Beach, on the Fort Pierce Inlet, which opened November 4, 2016, with an “official” grand opening Super Bowl Sunday 2017, is quickly becoming another incredible slice of paradise for locals and visitors alike. With a stunning view, perched high above the riverwalk along the Fort Pierce Inlet, it has that same relaxed, fun and tropical vibe we have become famous for. We are so excited to have expanded and become part of the Sunrise City.
The Square Grouper also hosts numerous fundraisers each year at both locations, benefiting many local non-profit and charitable organizations and has helped raise over $600,000 for charity.
Live music is on stage seven days a week, from fantastic local bands to some of the music industry’s most famous artists.
We do things the ‘grouper’ way which is a little different: we are a 21 and over establishment at all times. We maintain our laid back beach bar vibe with things like first come, first serve open tables, no dress code, no wait staff and simple but great food that you can pick up and go sit wherever you like, as long as you like, with no interruptions.”
