10 Best, a USA Today media outlet, recently conducted a contest to name the best beach bars in the Caribbean. An initial list of twenty nominees was compiled by a panel of Caribbean travel experts. That list of twenty beach bars then dispensed to the public for a vote.
While the top ten list included popular destinations known for their beach bars such as Anguilla, St. Maarten, Turks and Caicos, the Bahamas and St. Kitts, none of those islands produced the winner. That honor belonged to Puerto Rico. It’s Tamboo Bar & Seaside Grill beat out other more well-known beach bars such as Sunset Bar and Grill (St. Maarten), Elvis’ Beach Bar (Anguilla), Nipper’s Beach Bar and Grill (the Bahamas) and Da Conch Shack (Turks and Caicos) to grab the top spot.
If you aren’t familiar with this Puerto Rico beach bar, a quick perusal of its Instagram account will reaffirm its choice as the Caribbean’s best beach bar. Located in the surfer’s paradise of Rincon on the west coast of the island, Tamboo features events galore, endless specials and spectacular sunset views to wrap up each day.
