Known more for their financial advice that travel tips, Forbes recently shared an article detailing the “Ultimate Turks and Caicos Beach Bar Excursion.” Authored by Elana Golub (still wondering how I can get these gigs), the list is unique in that it only includes beach bars at resorts. Including some of the nicest resorts on Providenciales such as Gansevoort, The Alexandra and The Palms, the author is clearly appealing to the assumably well-heeled better-off-than-I readers of their publications.
I’ve always been a proponent of resorts being able to do the beach bar thing and Ms. Golub has put forth a fine argument on their behalf. Asu on the Beach, located at the Alexandra, looks particularly appealing with the author describing it as “an intimate, more casual scene.” Grace Bay Club’s Infiniti Bar also nabs a spot, just as it does on any other list of great beach bars in Turks and Caicos.
The article offers other helpful tips such as atmosphere and happy hour tips but the real treat is the “Cocktail of choice” included for each beach bar. Ranging from a Ginger Margarita to a Sparkling Berrymosa, the cocktails aren’t what you’re typically used to finding at a beach bar in the Caribbean but something tells me the readers of Forbes won’t mind.
