The photographer who shared this image online of Tulum, Mexico tagged it as one of a sunset. For those of you who might not know, Tulum sits on an east facing beach, making sunset pics over the ocean geographically impossible. While there are inland lagoons just south of the archaeological ruins, the absence of beaches and their status as eco-friendly destinations would lead one to believe that use of motorized boats might not just be discouraged but prohibited. At the end of the day (or the night), it doesn’t really matter and to be honest, I can’t tell you how long it’s been since I’ve seen a sunrise. Sunset or sunrise, we liked this picture a lot.
