Beach Thursday Pic of the Week – Island in Need of a Beach Bar

This week’s most popular beach pic of the week is our third image in the last four weeks taken of an unidentified location. That hasn’t stopped fans of our Facebook page from reacting, however, as the unknown beaches are enticing, and maybe just mysterious, enough to fan the flames of their wanderlust.

If I had to venture a guess as to where this one was located, I’d put a very small amount of money on the Caribbean waters off Nicaragua. Besides the fact that the photographer identified it as in the Caribbean, small island chains such as the Corn Islands and the islands around Pink Pearl Island Resort dot the water-filled landscape like the towering palms on this island. I’m no expert on anything but I’d take Nicaragua on this bit any day.

Vote for your favorite by “liking” the photo and each week, we’ll post the winning image and a high resolution image of it for your viewing and downloading pleasure … but it will only be available for one week.

Image is part of the public domain and is free for use with no attribution required. However, if you’d like to attribute us for featuring it, we certainly wouldn’t be bitter about it. We might even be a little giddy.
