For as long as I’ve been traveling to the Caribbean, I’ve wanted to visit Lion’s Dive and Beach Resort in Curacao, part of the “ABC” islands in the far southern reaches of the region. A big part of that was its pristine beaches and the presence of it beach bar, Hemingway. Sure, the “Dive” part of its name would have been nice … to somebody else. The appeal to me, though, was squarely located on the beach, not under the water.
My far away love affair with Lion’s Dive and Beach Resort only intensified when whey announced a new beach bar, Chill. On an island full of popular beach bars and beach clubs, the powers that be decided that if one beach bar was good, two could only be better.
The above video, produced by YouTuber Nautilus Tauchreisen, features an aerial overview of the property, only increasing my desire to visit an island I came oh so close to during my Aruba getaway many moons ago. If Curacao’s anything like Aruba and this property’s half as nice as this video purports it to be, my travel wish list may become one item shorter sooner rather than later.
If you’re interested, you can find more articles on the beach bars of Curacao. Included are posts on the Boardroom Beach Bar at the Curacao Marriott, the Blues Bar at the Avila Hotel and Celeste Beach Bar, one of the newest (kind of) beach bars on the island.
