Everyone knows about the bars on Duval in Key West but did you know there’s an actual beach bar in town? Lagerheads Beach Bar is located at the north end of Simonton Street and yes, it’s really on a beach. Sporting a laid back island atmosphere in stark contrast to its neighbors on Duval, Lagerheads is known for its fish tacos. As the owners mention in the above video, however, they have a Cuban sandwich (“the marinated pulled pork it to be admired by all”) that you won’t want to miss.
The owners also mention in the video that they think of Lagerheads Beach Bar as home and they want to convey that feeling to their guests and welcome them to “your unique secret little beach” with an emphasis on “being with your family and relaxing.”
