It’s no secret that Palapa Bar and Grill, a beach bar located on a pier on Ambergris Caye in Belize, has been through a wild ride the last couple years. From their relocation to their current spot to recovering from Hurricane Earl, one thing has remained constant – the dedication of their owners, Scott and Jodie Harnish, an their loyal staff.
I had the chance to interview Scott and Jodie on the blog before via my “Beach Bar Bums Focus” column so I know their passion for not only the bar but the community as a whole is genuine. I’m happy to see the latest and greatest version of their bar looking as splendidly as it does and hope that the winds of change decide to blow a different direction for the near future.
