As soon as I saw the wave-shaped barriers in this aerial shot, I knew it has to be Ft. Lauderdale. Luckily, the photographer identified the site and I was correct. Being rather familiar with the city due to my past visits, I tasked myself with figuring out which block this was. Turns out, if my guess is right, it’s the block on A1A located between Las Olas and Poinsettia. Home to the Elbo Room (located just off the upper left corner of this image), Sangrias, Rock Bar and the Drunken Taco, it’s a popular spot on this beachfront causeway and a block I’ve frequented more than a few times. I’ve been lucky enough to spend a significant time on both sides of the wave-like barrier and highly recommend a visit to this non-stop block party.
