Instagram Monday Weekly Worldwide Beach Bar Tour

Tagged: ,

Another Monday, another virtual beach bar tour around the world. Instagram user @womanonarock, the Instagram feed for the excellent website, womenwholiveonrocks.com, takes us to Anguilla for glimpses of the Viceroy, Shoal Bay East and Meads Bay. Our favorite Belize-based blogger, @erindesantiago, shares all the information you’ll need to know about the Split on Caye Caulker and its famous beach bar, the Lazy Lizard. Meanwhile across the world in Greece, Agora Beach abides by the mantra “toes in sand, drink in hand” with a delicious image of their Sweet Sun cocktail.

If you’d like your images to be featured on the blog, use the #beachbarbums tag and I’ll try and get you in. If you have a travel blog or personal website, I also try and post links to those whenever possible. I occasionally give away free stuff to some of my favorites so that’s pretty cool, I guess. Plus, the blog gets a BUNCH of views per day and the article is shared to all of my social media sites – you’ll never find a more dedicated group of beach bar lovers anywhere! If you’d like me to write an article featuring just your photos, send me an email at info at beach bar bums dot com and we’ll talk it over. Cheers!

I love birthdays – and this fabulous hotel #todayrocks #lifeisgood @viceroyanguilla

Tourist enjoying a relaxing read at "the split" on Caye Caulker in Belize. Popular with backpackers, Caye Caulker is extremely laid back and has a very casual vibe. Walking (or golf cart) is the main mode of navigating the island and the streets are still sand – no pavement here! The Split got a recent facelift after new owners and subsequent disputes surrounding the popular bar, Lazy Lizard. Lazy Lizard is home to the famous green lizard juice that will knock you on your butt after one too many. There are now some shaded palapa tables, more area to lay out and interesting new businesses nearby. If you're staying on Ambergris Caye hop on the water taxi for the day or visit Caye Caulker as part of a organized or private catamaran day sail with operators like @ecologicdivers. You get to go snorkeling along the way, enjoy a beautiful smooth sail versus a bumpy water taxi ride, get a few hours at the split, and open bar all day on the boat. Not a bad way to spend a day! ⛵️
