This week’s Instagram Monday post is all about the beach, especially appreciated on leap day when we are granted an extra day for the year. If you’re going to have an extra 24 hours, you might as well while it away at the beach or dream of it, right? While this week’s images won’t teleport you to any of the beaches featured, they’ll serve as inspiration for getting back to the beach where life is best enjoyed at sunset with a cocktail in hand and surrounded by your favorite peeps.
Featured this week are views of Anguilla’s beaches that will convince you Anguillians really do have it better than the rest of us, a beer with a view in Phuket, and update on the Palapa Bar situation on Ambergris Caye in Belize from one of our favorite travel bloggers and an Isla Holbox sunset that will have you yearning for a one way ticket to this little know Mexican paradise hiding in the shadow of Cancun.
If you’d like your images to be featured on the blog, use the #beachbarbums tag and I’ll try and get you in. If you have a travel blog or personal website, I also try and post links to those whenever possible. I occasionally give away free stuff to some of my favorites so that’s pretty cool, I guess. Plus, the blog gets a BUNCH of views per day and the article is shared to all of my social media sites – you’ll never find a more dedicated group of beach bar lovers anywhere! If you’d like me to write an article featuring just your photos, send me an email at info at beach bar bums dot com and we’ll talk it over. Cheers!
The old Palapa Bar location north of the bridge. If you're coming to Ambergris Caye, and wanting to visit the famous Palapa Bar, this isn't it!!! The original Palapa Bar is now located in town in Boca Del Rio, at the old Wet Willy's dock. Just turn at the roundabout on the road (by K-Mart) and go straight out to the beach and you'll find it no problem. This is still such a scenic area for photos although I won't personally support the new bar that moved in due to the new dock owner's constant battles against everyone and questionable business tactics.
