Antigua’s BeachlimerZ beach bar might not be the most popular beach bar on the island but you’ll be hard pressed to find a better spot to lime away the day on the beach. After all, it is their name so it seems kind of appropriate.
A couple weeks ago, I posted an article on why you should avoid travel to Antigua (including its beach bars) and it became by far my most popular post. The article generated a lot of feedback and among the readers to chime in was Ray P., who provided this photo of BeachlimerZ, a beach bar located on Ft. James beach. With views like this, it’s no wonder the beach bars of Antigua continue to entice visitors to its shores.
Describing themselves on their website as having a “breezy beachside ambiance” that ensures an “authentic Caribbean experience,” BeachlimerZ is a popular spot among Trip Advisor reviewers, who give it a 4.5 average star rating. One reviewer described the beach bar as a “fun buzzy place” and that it’s obvious the owners cares about the place, a key component to any successful beach bar when setting yourself apart from the hordes of competitors could come down to something as simple as a caring owner.
“BeachLimerZ is a local, family owned and operated bistro-bar located on Antigua’s Historic Fort James Beach, one of the Caribbean’s most stunningly beautiful beaches.
This stylish, informal, rustic beach bar features the liberal use of local woods for bar and furniture, together with hand-made copper light fixtures fashioned by an island artisan.
The breezy beachside ambiance and the owners’ obvious commitment to the music heritage and culinary culture of the island ensure an authentic Caribbean experience which will create memories that the language of travel books can never quite capture. Here at BeachLimerZ we aim to be the genuine article.
Come, lime*… Let’s make waves!
