At the beginning of November, our friends over at Rum Therapy posted an article about what appeared to be a new beach bar coming to White Bay on Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands. The article states that the new beach bar is very close to the Soggy Dollar but no other information was available at the time of the posting.
To find out more about the new beach bar and to view images, you can find the Rum Therapy article here.
What are your thoughts on another beach bar on White Bay? Good for the economy or too many beach bars already?
If you have any information on the new Jost Van Dyke beach bar, please let me know in the comments or email me at info (at) beachbarbums (dot) com.

Had to know it was coming, with as popular as JVD is getting, someone was bound to toss down a bunch of money and buy their way into that lifestyle… though, reading the comments on Rum Therapy are that its another local bar owner opening one up – I am definitely in the camp that there are enough bars on White Bay, but at the same time, the existing bars get super crowded already, which would be nice to have more options down there, but I don’t like the idea of taking business away from the bars that are already there.

Great points, Justin, and thanks for the comment. Adding new beach bars, especially on White Bay, is tricky. Yeah, it’s probably good for the local economy but when does it become too much and White Bay start to lose its appeal? There has to be a over-saturation point – let’s just hope they haven’t reached it!
