The Beach Bar at the Postcard Inn – A Surprise St. Pete Beach Favorite

The Beach Bar at the Postcard Inn on the Beach in St. Pete Beach, Florida may not always get mentioned among the more popular beach bars in St. Pete Beach but for this beach bar bum, it has been a surprising favorite halfway through my vacation. I can’t tell you why it doesn’t get more attention in the press – I’ll just blame it on the uninspired name. While the bars at its sister property in Islamorada are all blessed with unique names that set them apart from others, the beach bar at the Postcard Inn is simply known as that.

Beach Bar at the Postcard Inn on the Beach, St. Pete Beach, Florida

It’s quaint and rustic, resembling a Caribbean beach bar more than any of the others I’ve seen in the area. And it’s right on the beach. There are no bridges to cross or tall grasses to peer through. It’s the beach bar and then the beach. It’s everything I love about Caribbean beach bars so maybe the biggest surprise of all is that it’s no surprise that it’s my favorite beach bar in St. Pete Beach … so far.

Added note – if you’re a fan of Yolo Rum, there’s only one place you’ll find it in St. Pete Beach – the beach bar at the Postcard Inn.

  1. Yay ~Thanks for this review! It lead me to your drone video of PCI. They owe you a referral fee! Its so hard for a Ks girl to try to pick a reasonably priced vacay spot w/o any knowledge of the area. Their website sold me on their funky retro vibe but I wasn’t sure how close to the beach it was. Your video sealed the deal! Keep up the good work ~I’m sure it gets rough day in and day out (https://beachbarbums.com/2014/09/16/droning-around-the-postcard-inn-st-pete-beach-florida/ )
