Instagram Monday – Bloggers at Beach Bars and a Bunch of Driftwood

Tagged: , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

This week’s look in at beach bars via Instagram features three of our favorite bloggers at beach bars on opposite sides of the Caribbean with a peek at a beach bar and resort made from driftwood in Florida. I’m mean the stuff’s just laying around the beach. You might as well put it to good use and build a beach bar, right?

Erin de Santiago, from Our Tasty Travels, shares an image of the Palapa Bar and Grill on Ambergris Caye in Belize. Scott and Jodie Harnish, the owners of the Palapa, were one of the first people I featured in my “Beach Bar Bums Focus” column and are prime examples of what one would come to expect from a beach bar owner. Shannon Kircher of The Traveling Scholar gets away from the paradise that is Anguilla and finds herself beach bar hopping on another paradise, Jost Van Dyke, which her husband Scott describes as “arguably the best place on earth ….” After reading her article, it seems it would be hard to argue the point. And Marybeth Scott from Beaches, Bars and Bungalows turns us on to the Driftwood Resort in Vero Beach Florida. Made from A LOT of driftwood, the resort features Waldo’s at the Driftwood, a bar described as very quiet and laid back with a daily happy hour from 4-7 pm.

If you’d like your images to be featured on the blog, use the #beachbarbums tag and I’ll comment on the image you tagged to let you know it’s been featured. If you have a travel blog or personal website, I also try and post links to those whenever possible. I occasionally give away free stuff to some of my favorites so that’s pretty cool, I guess. Plus, the blog gets almost 700 views a day and the article is shared to all of my social media sites – you’ll never find a more dedicated group of beach bar lovers anywhere! If you’d like me to write an article featuring just your photos, send me an email at info at beach bar bums dot com and we’ll talk it over. Cheers!
