Count this announcement as a stunner – Biras Creek Resort, located on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, just announced on their Facebook page that they are discontinuing their operations. From the Facebook post:
“It is with deep sadness that we announce that we have discontinued operations of Biras Creek Resort due to a variety of business reasons. The future of the property is unknown at this time.
As this marks an end of an era, we would like to take this time to offer our deepest gratitude to our incredible staff and management at Biras Creek, our loyal guests, and the British Virgin Island’s government who have supported and worked in good faith with us over the years.
We are exploring all options to relocate existing reservations and will be in contact with each guest soon.”
According to their website, the resort’s closing was effective two days ago and they will be “exploring all options to relocate existing reservations and will be in touch with each guest individually as soon as possible.”
I used to interact with them quite frequently on social media and the views posted from the resort of the surrounding North Sound, Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea were stunning. Sad to see it go and it will be interesting to see what happens with the property.
