I can think of few better ways to spend my time than listening to music while on the beach and when you visit the Dune Preserve Beach Bar in Anguilla, it’s pretty much a given that it’s going to happen at some point. Its owner, Bankie Banx, has been a part of the reggae scene for decades and his beach bar is the annual host of Moonsplash, an annual music festival that takes place in March. You’ll often find Bankie performing for guests either through his schedule weekly performances or more impromptu moments when the mood strikes.
I’m not sure if this performance was scheduled or not but the few guests at the Dune should have considered themselves lucky to witness it. Luckily for us, someone was smart enough to record the performance and we are able to witness Bankie not only playing his trusty harmonica but also harmonizing perfectly with the special guest. Unfortunately, despite my searching all over the internet, I can’t figure out who the artist is performing with Bankie and the description and title attached to the video only obfuscates the matter. I always jump at a chance to use the word “obfuscate” in a post.
Do you know the name of the gentleman performing with Bankie? Any idea what the name of the song is? If so, leave a comment below and I’ll be eternally grateful … or at least grateful through the weekend.
