Our friends over in Europe aren’t featured much on this blog so when I have a chance to share an article about the wonderful beach bars and chiringuitos across the pond, I jump at the opportunity, especially when it involves sunsets, cocktails and Ibiza.
Recently reviewed on Ibiza-spotlight.com by Juilan Heathcote, Kumharas is a waterfront beach bar and restaurant located in San Antonio Bay on the north side of Ibiza island. While it is most well-known for its “relaxed Bohemian vibe and international fusion cuisine,” the real draw is something Kumharas has no control over – the sunsets. The author of the article describes the sunsets as “legendary” and “spectacular,” noting that it seemed almost everyone at the restaurant there that night had one thing in mind – photographing it. Recognizing that every great sunset is made more enjoyable with a cocktail in hand, the author dedicates a whole section of their report to sunset cocktails, choosing to go with a mojito, strawberry daiquiri and strawberry caipiroska, all expertly mixed with “super-fresh” strawberries.
