Latest List Of World’s Best Beach Bars Released

London’s Telegraph released their latest list of the world’s best beach bars earlier this week. Among the beach bars are Caribbean stalwarts such as Jamaica’s Pelican Bar, which the Telegraph describes as “the perfect place to drink a beer, eat fresh fish and have a swim in the azure waters,” Da Conch Shack, which the author describes as “laid back Caribbean cool” and of course the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands.

Da Conch Shack and Rum Bar, Turks and Caicos Islands.

Also included on the list are some not so traditional beach bars such as Baba Nest in Thailand, a unique rooftop bar surrounded by water (no beach, though), Badeschiff in Berlin, Germany, “a floating public pool moored on the River Spree, with a wooden lounge deck, man-made beach and open-air bar” and Icebergs Dining Room and Bar, overlooking Bondi Beach in Australia.

While it was no surprise to see the Caribbean well represented, I was disappointed that no beach bars from the south Pacific made the list. What do you think of the list? Do you think they missed out on one of your favorites?
