Voting for the best Florida beach bar starts tomorrow and you can cast your vote at Now in its fifth year, the contest to choose the best Florida beach bar has become an annual rite of passage in the spring with beach bars, restaurants, resorts, tourism and convention and visitor bureaus getting into the act to try and get their beach bar listed among the top 10. Previous winners include Jimmy B’s Beach Bar in St. Pete Beach (three times) and Sharky’s on the Pier in Venice, the winner in 2013.

The contest to name Florida’s best beach bar isn’t limited to just beachfront watering holes. Locations such as the Backyard in Boynton Beach, which is surrounded by concrete, and Key West bars such at Hog’s Breath and Captain Tony’s, which are surrounded by tourists, are also included in the list of bars being considered. And don’t forget your favorite waterfront locations such as the Lorelei in Islamorada where sand may not be plentiful but a beach bar atmosphere still exudes.
