The St. Pete Beach area keeps drawing me back, especially as the amount of snow coating my driveway rises (total snowfall so far is 14 inches in case you were wondering). The latest object of my affection is the Hurricane Seafood Restaurant, located in the Pass-A-Grille area of St. Pete Beach. Consisting of three levels, the complex offers casual family dining on its ground level at the “Original Hurricane,” formal dining on its second level (the appropriately named “Level Two”) and the Hurricane Watch Roof-Top bar, located on the roof and offering 360 degree views of Pass-A-Grille and St. Pete Beach.
When a restaurant such as the Hurricane offers three levels of dining options within a block of the beach, your every day street level photography just won’t do. Enter our trusty unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Able to capture views as breathtaking as those from the rooftop bar, the UAV gave us a chance to show off the Hurricane in a way that she deserved and over 35 years after she first opened, the self described “crown jewel of Pass-A-Grille” has never looked newer and shinier.
About Hurricane Seafood Restaurant
Experience the crown jewel of historic Pass-A-Grille – the Hurricane Seafood Restaurant is in the heart of the Pass-A-Grille historical district. Located just across the street from the Gulf, with rooftop twin bars that offer spectacular sunset views, the Hurricane has become a world-renown restaurant for both locals and vacationers, serving the St. Pete Beach community for over 30 years. Offering the finest in fresh, wild-caught seafood in a tantalizing array of appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desserts, the Hurricane dazzles with three levels of dining and complimentary views, seven days a week.
Savor a St. Pete Beach sunset on the Hurricane Watch, overlooking the waters of the Gulf of Mexico, sharing our signature “Colossal Margarita” with friends. Make it a date or celebrate a special occasion on Level Two – featuring an alluring menu of juicy steaks, our signature “Mom’s 1945 Crab Cake,” and more. Or dine downstairs at the Original Hurricane, amidst a casual yet festive, family-friendly ambiance. Meet for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner, or wind down with our Roof-Top Happy Hour, from 12 – 6 pm, Monday through Friday. Whichever level you choose, and whatever the occasion may be, it’s all here at the Hurricane!
