I’ve read about beach bars in basements and backyards but never one in a football stadium. That’s about to change, however, as the University of Central Florida just released details regarding the new beach bar (sans sand) coming to their football stadium. All of a sudden, the idea of rooting for a Florida college football program doesn’t sound like such a bad idea. At least they’re not in the SEC.
The East Side Club (ESC), created by the same design firm that worked on Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville locations, will feature an open air sundeck that connects to a covered lounge. Also featured in this Florida themed club will be more than 15 flat screened TVs, private restrooms and of course, an assortment of frozen drinks. The 10,000 square foot Florida themed ESC will be open for extended pre and post-game hours and will also be available for private events. The new ESC will be ready for the September 5th home opener of the Knights’ 2015 football season.
What do you think of the new beach bar/club? Would you be willing to pay the premium to enjoy a college football game from a beach bar themed lounge? Membership to the ESC isn’t as expensive as you would think. A season long pass will only cost you $900. Find out more and view renderings of the future beach bar here.
