Images of beach bars are always a great escape in the middle of winter when you’re surrounded by white snow instead of white sand. The snowfall has been endless in my corner of the world and finding some way to escape from the maddening weather is at the top of my priority list this time of year. Whether it’s through rum samplings at my favorite local bar (check), tiki bar hopping in Chicago (this weekend), being invited to join a Caribbean writers guild (Yay!) or perusing through beach bar pics on Instagram (daily if not hourly), I always manage to find a way for a temporary mental escape to somewhere warmer.
One of my favorite escapes are the beach bar pics on Instagram. There are well over 100,000 images tagged with “#beachbar” on Instagram so your latest vacation inspiration is just a few clicks away. Among those images are even a handful of pics tagged with “#beachbarbums,” a tag I created so users could be featured on the blog. Today’s article is a “catch up” on those pics and features beach bars in such faraway (and warmer) places as Puerto Rico, Anegada (BVI), Florida and of course, Anguilla.
If you would like your Instagram image to be featured on the blog, use the tag “#beachbarbums” and you might win some stuff you really don’t need. Find out more on our “About” page.
