Beach Bar For Sale On St. Thomas … For Only $25,000

Tagged: , , , , ,

A potential beach bar just went up for sale on St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands and for the small sum of $25,000, it could be yours. The beach bar is the former Guajira Grill and Bar, which looks like it may have closed its doors in late 2011 according to its Facebook page. Details from the Craigslist posting (http://virgin.craigslist.org/bfs/4820110431.html) were as follows but I believe it has sold since the listing is no longer active.

“Tiny House / or Restaurant – $25000 (STT)
condition: excellent size / dimensions: 10’x26′

Use as a live in tiny house or working restaurant.

MONEYMAKER!!!! BEACH BAR OR TINY HOUSE.

SOLID built West Indian style house is outfitted as a restaurant, dimensions: 10′ x 26′, ADA bathroom is 6′ x 7′ w/ceramic tile floor. It can be used as a tiny house, ceiling high enough for loft space.

Sold as shown on chassis welded of 4″ x 4″ x 1/4″ steel tubing w/pulling bar and hook, very heavy duty. This solid built building has a DPNR building permit and can be located on property with no requirements for building permits.

Images shown with deck was as the restaurant operated previously, supplied w/brackets and supports. This unit must be moved to your preferred location, and economically moves by tow truck. Towing can be arranged at time of sale.

5 window openings, large split entry door, super breezy, 4′ Breeze Aire double door cooler, 3 sinks, s/s work table, 6 burner commercial stove, hand wash sink, large shelving overhead for storage, kitchen sinks w sprayer, grease trap, gas tanks, fire extinguishers, Hubbel electrical hub, 10 gallon water heater, plumbing terminates under the unit and hooks up to your water tank or line.”

There isn’t a lot to the beach bar and you would still need to find a location and get the permits but once that falls into place, the possibilities are endless. You wouldn’t even need a deck around it – just plop it down on the beach and let the sand be your floor. Beach bars have started with a lot less than this structure offers. And hey, if all else fails, it can still function as a house.

  2. I called the listed number but no answer. Are you representing the Seller or are you just a Third Party?

    • I’m just a third party and I believe there is no broker involved. It’s just a private seller on Craigslist. You might try emailing them.

  3. I tried craigs list but still can’t get thru to the owner. As a third party do you get paid? If so you would be Brokering the sale which would entitle you to a Fee

    • Unfortunately, I only repost beach bars for sale that I come across. I do not make any money from the deals although brokering them or offering a classifieds section is being considered. I’ll see what I can find out about it and get back to you if I get in touch with the seller. Thanks!

      • Thanks beachbarbums. Brokering as a third party can be very profitable and may be perfect for you. Buyers looking for a better way to search without going through a large corp. such as biz buy and sell or Craigs List is confusing for the average searcher, no offence intended. Being a realtor with five specialties I know searching can be difficult for a Seller or Buyer without the proper help. You may just have the perfect nich market right in front of you. Do the Due Diligence, always be Ethical, Apply the Golden Rule and you’ll be successful. If your looking for help or a Partner let me know.

    • Leslie, I doubt it. It was a pretty good deal so I don’t think it would have lasted long. If you’re interested in buying a beach bar, send me an email at info at beachbarbums dot com and I’ll see what I can find for you. Cheers!

  6. What price point is your is the watering hole looking for? After all, the Caribbean bars are rather expensive to purchase. While I see that there was something that sold for $25,000, that was a trailer and you find a home for it. Thats not a landmark.

    • Steven, thanks for your comment. The budget for the Watering Hole is confidential but if you have a beach bar and would like to sell it, you can send me an email and I can see if it’s a price point they’d be interested in. Cheers!
