Coming up with the perfect drink to share with all of our guests at any party we have is often the hardest part of the party planning process. Trying to figure out which cocktail will be generally accepted by everyone isn’t easy. You have to find a cocktail that’s not too sweet or sour and not too strong – the last thing you want is a bunch of drunks rampaging through your house. We usually end up going with the tried and true Sex on the Beach – it’s easy to make and if you have leftovers, doesn’t taste too bad over the following days. This year, though, I wanted to try something different and I think I may have found the perfect drink. We love the Caribbean (in case you haven’t noticed) so we’re obviously big fans of rum punch. Trying to give it a “Christmas” touch so it’s not just a tropical drink but rather a holiday party drink is the tricky part. Luckily for me, Rum Therapy did all the heavy lifting and came up with a recipe that will be perfect for our Christmas party. It’s the Cranberry Rum Punch and according to them, it looks pretty dandy sloshing around in a punch bowl. The recipe contains a bunch of juices, dark and white rum and one or two bottles of champagne, depending on how much kick you want to add to your party. To view the recipe, click here.
