Panama Beach Bars: The Pickeled Parrot, Isla Caranero, Bocas del Toro

The Pickled Parrot (how do they come up with these names?), a beach bar located at the end of a pier in Bocas del Toro, Panama, is part of the Blue Marlin Suites hotel and they’re pretty proud of it. On their website, they state that “Our restaurant is known among the locals as THE place to be for a great lunch, dinner or cocktail outing. Stunning panoramic views, friendly staff and delicious food bring our guests back again and again. Although we have something for everyone on the menu, we have the reputation for having the BEST burger in Bocas – so don’t miss it!” Sounds like they’re pretty sure of themselves and their beach bar according to Lonely Planet, the locals feel the same way, describing the Pickled Parrot as “the best food on the island … lovingly prepared by a cantankerous chef.”

  1. No doubt the Parrot is the best place to eat/drink and party down. I don’t know much about Bocas but I have been there a couple of times and I love the place. You just can’t beat the Pickled Parrot.
