I’ve browsed through a lot of images of Pinel Island, located just off St. Martin, as we narrow down the list of locations we want to visit during our Anguilla/St. Martin vacation this winter. A lot of them jump out at you for their shear beauty and the photographer’s ability to capture that so splendidly. Then there are the images by Alexandre Duret-Lutz, a photographer who uses equirectangular and stereographic projection methods in her photography. What does that mean? I’m not really sure but I think it’s basically the same affect as taking the globe and flattening it out to display in print. Or not. Either way, the images are pretty cool.
