British Virgin Islands (BVI) Beach Bars – Big Bamboo Beach Bar, Loblolly Bay, Anegada

Tagged: , , , , , ,

Big Bamboo Beach Bar on Loblolly Bay on Anegada in the British Virgin Islands was opened by Aubrey and Diane Levons around 30 years ago. The beach bar is part of the Big Bamboo property which includes cottages for those of us who don’t want to venture any further from the beach bar than necessary, a restaurant, gift shop and dive shop to explore the world’s fourth largest coral reef (bet you didn’t know that!).

About The Big Bamboo Beach Bar: “That quiet secluded Caribbean beach you were dreaming about; where the whispers of waves whet your appetite for the fresh lobster being grilled at the restaurant located a few steps away from your beachside cottage. The place being described is called Loblolly Bay. A few steps from the edge of its pearl white sands, the Big Bamboo Beach Bar and Restaurant continues to reinforce its reputation for the sweetest lobster in all the islands.

At the Big Bamboo, our goal is to accentuate the natural charm of Anegada’s north shore with accessories for an idyllic island getaway.”

Share the love (or “strong dislike”): Have you been here? If so, let me know what you think in the comments. Since it’s impossible for me to visit every single beach bar I post about on the site, the comments from readers like you allow others who are interested in checking out these beach bars hear from people who have actually been there and let them read unbiased reviews. Kind of like the Trip Advisor for beach bars!
