It’s been a seemingly interminable wait but I finally get to go see Michael Franti in concert tonight! Most of the reactions I get from people when I tell them who I’m going to see is “Who is that?” Then I play them a snippet from “Say Hey (I Love You)” and they go “Oh yeah. I know that guy.” The cool kids always know who Franti is, though. Throw in Brett Dennen (same reaction from people) as an opening act and you have a night that will be one to remember.
