I’m a sucker for midtempo songs of any genre so when I heard “Synesthesia” by Andrew McMahon spilling from the speakers in a Gap store, I reached for my phone, pulled up the Shazam app and tagged the song. The chill wave/electronic/trance sounds of the song may not be for many beach bar goers but it would be the perfect soundtrack to a night under the stars for me.

I saw this picture of my niece twisting high above the narrow beam.
