Remembering 9/11

Tagged: , ,

Even though it was 12 years ago, the events of 9/11 still make me emotional when I recall them.  I’m fiercely proud of my country and of the men and women who have served in order to preserve my freedoms.  In honor of my father, a veteran of the Vietnam war, my brother, a police officer for the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and everyone from around the world affected by the events of that day, I will not be posting anything travel-related on the blog today.  Instead, I will take the time to reflect, remember and be thankful.

All photos are of Pepperdine University’s “Wave of Flags” memorial. More information on this memorial can be found here.
