Calling the Mad Mongoose a beach bar might be stretching it for purists but throw in the fact that it’s within spitting distance of the Caribbean (if you don’t make sure your car is in park when you get out, it will roll right into the water) and it works for me. One of the most well known bars in the area and popular with yachties just looking for somewhere to blow their hard earned money, the Mad Mongoose could be yours for a cool $600,000, just reduced from $720,000.
The English/Falmouth Harbour area is one of my favorite spots in the world. If I had the money, I’d buy it. Anyone?

I found this beach bar for sale in Charlotte County, Florida but need help identifying which one it is. I have an idea but since I’ve never been to this beach bar, I needed someone who has actually been there to confirm it for me. If you could let me know, I’d appreciate it! In fact, I would appreciate it so much that I’ll buy the last round of drinks if we ever meet up at a beach bar. I promise!
Does owning your own beach bar on Ambergris Caye in Belize sound like a dream come true? Is $250,000 within your range? If you answered “yes” to both questions, I may have found the beach bar just for you.

Imagine waking up to sunrises like this one every day, shuffling out to your beach bar and setting up for another day of working on the beach. Not only would you own the lease to a beach bar, it also includes another bar, natural saltwater pool, massage business and boat dock among other amenities. Throw in a motivated owner and you may have just found your paradise.
The lease for Kama Ultra Lounge, just north of the bridge in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, is currently being offered for sale in the $250,000 – $275,000 range. More details regarding the sale of this beach bar can be found at viviun.com.
Of the beach bars I’ve posted for sale, the Sunset Grill on Isla Mujeres is the most enticing. When I first came across the posting last night, it made me pause and I started running the numbers in my head. Could I actually make this work? Open since 1980, this beach bar and restaurant on Playa Norte is listed with an asking price of $250,000 on viviun.com. Featured previously on my site here (you can view additional pics and videos), the Sunset Grill is one of those beach bars I always have to visit. With its location on the beautiful beach of Playa Norte and amazing sunset views, the opportunity for growth is enormous. Throw in the fact that they average about 60 weddings/beach events a year and $250,000 sounds like a steal. I’m assuming the land is not included (the owner mentions his rent on another site) but despite this, the asking price for this beach bar seems like a bargain.
Does owning a beach bar on a Caribbean island sound enticing to you? How about the fact that it’s just a ferry ride away from the glitz and glamour of Cancun and less than an hour away from a major international airport? If so, you can view the details and contact information at the Viviun site. More details are also available at bizbuysell.com which lists the reason for the sale as the owner wishing to retire.
If you end up buying it, save me a seat. I’ll be by soon to visit!
Want to own a beach bar in an up an coming tourist destination that locals describe as the kiteboarding capital of the world? If so, I may have found what you’re looking for in Cabarete. Martini’s Beach Bar and Grill is currently for sale with an asking price of $489,000. Considering that the sale is for the full title (not just the lease) and includes built in clientele at the condominium complex, this deal starts to sound a little more enticing. One reviewer on virtualtourist.com has this to say about it: “This restaraunt has a large menu and is very enjoyable. They are putting on Taco Tuesday with an all you can eat taco bar, and we’re hearing rumors of a Wing Night to be starting. Happy hour is from 4 to 6 pm nightly.
Favorite Dish: Jalapeno poppers, fish and chips, and the ground steak burger.
They also have great pork chops and fresh fish steak.”
